Top SchoolAndrew Webster is a Senior Software Engineer with 11+ years focused on logging, monitoring and security for SCADA and large industrial control systems across Windows, AIX, Solaris and Linux. He designs cross-platform, thread- and multiprocess-safe logging APIs and consolidated logging/monitoring pipelines (Splunk, Nagios, SolarWinds) that bridge C/C++/Java applications and OS-native logs. His work includes custom Nagios plugins, host- and network-level firewall generation, and IDS tuning (Snort) for energy management systems that support failover and multi-site operations. Comfortable from low-level C/C++ to higher-level Java and Unix shell scripting, he pairs deep systems expertise with practical automation to harden and observe mission-critical infrastructure. Based in Saint Paul, MN, he also brings hands-on classroom experience teaching C/C++/Java, which helps him translate complex technical needs into usable tooling for operators.
