Top SchoolAndrew Wheeler is a Director of Software Engineering with 12+ years building multimedia drivers, real-time audio DSP, and system software for leading mobile and consumer audio products. He combines hands-on expertise in C/C++ and assembly across architectures (x86, ARM, DSPs) with strong system debugging, driver development (WDM/WaveRT) and hardware-spec performance estimation. A proven tech lead and manager, he’s driven SCM and automated build systems and mentored teams through product launches at companies from Aureal and Sigmatel to Motorola. Comfortable across embedded OSes (WinCE, PalmOS, Symbian) and scripting in Python, he bridges low-level firmware and higher-level system design to deliver production-ready audio stacks. Notably, his background includes both building licensed 3D audio IP and shipping emulator and multimedia engines for constrained handheld devices, reflecting a knack for squeezing high-quality audio into tight resource envelopes.
