Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolAndrew Whitfield is a seasoned lead developer with 11+ years in financial systems engineering, currently leading back-office application development at Wells Fargo. He brings deep legacy and modern-stack expertise—Midas Plus/RPG on IBM iSeries (AS400), Java and WebSphere, plus Python and React—to bridge core banking platforms with contemporary interfaces. His career includes hands-on implementation and API design for large bank migrations and real-time feeds, notably upgrading Fortis’ foreign branch network to Midas Plus and building derivative and FX interfaces. Known for pragmatic problem-solving, he combines low-level RPG/ILE API rework with web-layer Java/JSP/XML development and on-call production support. Based in London, he pairs an MSc in Information Technology from the University of Nottingham with a track record of delivering auditable, resilient financial integrations. A detail-oriented engineer, he often surfaces subtle reconciliation and posting edge cases early in projects, reducing migration risk.
