Reading, England, Russia
Summary
👤
SeniorAndrey Andriychuk is a Ruby on Rails developer with 10 years’ experience building high-load backends, services and Rails sites, currently working remotely for HalalBooking from Reading. He has deep hands-on expertise in Ruby, Sinatra and Rack, multiple ORMs (ActiveRecord, Sequel, rom-rb), PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis/Memcached and test-driven development with RSpec. Andrey has a strong operational background—containerizing apps with Docker, deploying to Kubernetes, automating CI/CD (TeamCity, GitLab CI) and running metrics stacks (StatsD, Prometheus, Grafana) for production observability. His career spans industry automation and gaming to travel and mobility, including splitting monoliths, sharding databases and migration projects (Memcached→Redis, ELK adoption). Comfortable across the stack, he also touches frontend work (Vue.js, Slim/HAML) and custom tooling (a pg gem wrapper), which reflects a pragmatic problem-solving approach beyond pure Rails development.
