Senior🎓
Top SchoolAndrey Sokolov is a software engineer with 11 years of experience building networking and distributed systems, currently developing network controllers at AWS from his base in Queensland, Australia. His background blends high-performance C++ and Python engineering for flight path optimization, field robotics, and financial and scientific simulation, reflecting a strong foundation in modeling complex stochastic and physical systems. He holds dual PhDs—one in Astronomy and another-level work in Econophysics—and has transitioned academic rigor into scalable production systems across aviation and cloud domains. Comfortable across DevOps, build/test automation, and web services on AWS, he brings a practical focus on reliability and performance. A less obvious strength is his long-running trajectory from computational astrophysics to production networking, which gives him deep experience translating research-grade algorithms into robust, operational software.
