Top SchoolAndrija Derasevic is a pragmatic backend software engineer with 11 years in the industry and 5+ years focused on building scalable, high-performance backend systems. Based in Belgrade and currently at CloseOut, he has repeatedly improved system performance—most notably cutting a 5+ minute Oracle query to seconds with a custom result-set transformer—and delivered resilient fintech and telco solutions at FIS and Effortel. Comfortable across Java (8–18), Spring, Kafka, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines, he pairs deep database tuning skills (Oracle/Postgres) with hands-on performance testing and automation experience. Known for resurrecting a Scala/Gatling performance test suite and scripting Jenkins pipelines, he blends pragmatic engineering with a knack for tackling legacy bottlenecks.
