Top SchoolAndy Beach is a media-tech strategist and operator who has spent over a decade shaping how content is created and distributed, most recently as Worldwide CTO for Media & Entertainment at Microsoft. He now advises and builds companies at the intersection of cloud distribution, codecs, and AI—founding Alchemy Creations, serving as Interim CTO of a generative media studio, and investing as a Venture Partner at Hallstone Ventures. His career blends hands-on engineering and product roles with strategic go-to-market leadership across startups and enterprise, and he authors long-form analysis and a podcast that probe where media infrastructure power is shifting. Based in Portland, he pairs a BFA in film with an AI certificate from MIT Sloan, a combination that informs both creative and technical perspectives few executives hold. Notably, he moves between tactical platform architecture and high-level thesis-building, helping founders translate emerging codec and AI economics into deployable systems.
