Senior🎓
Top SchoolAndy Weisner is a seasoned frontend developer and long-time full-stack practitioner based in Düsseldorf, with over two decades creating interactive websites, web apps and mobile cross-platform solutions. He combines hands-on expertise in modern stacks (React, Angular, TypeScript, Node.js, Firebase, CSS3) with a background in UX and interaction design, often leading teams and projects as senior or lead developer. Andy runs RETINNAFUNK as a freelance vehicle while holding senior frontend roles at agencies and public-sector clients, showing comfort switching between product, agency and freelance contexts. His portfolio includes festival sites and apps (notably Boom Festival) and complex corporate CMS integrations, reflecting both creative and enterprise-facing experience. Unusually for a frontend specialist, he pairs a formal academic background in philosophy and information science with deep technical craft dating back to the Flash era, giving him a strong design-thinking perspective on engineering problems. He is available for freelance engagements and enjoys turning challenging UX concepts into robust, responsive implementations.
