Top SchoolAngel Calvo is a seasoned technology executive with over 25 years of experience leading global engineering, product, and research teams to build developer platforms and consumer services at scale. Currently Sr. Engineering Director and GM for Developer & Experiences at Google, he led the launch of Firebase Studio and steers strategies across Go, Dart, Flutter and GenKit to enable full‑stack, agentive model applications. His career spans leadership roles at Meta, Amazon, AWS and Microsoft where he combined product vision, platform engineering and P&L ownership to deliver systems used by hundreds of millions. Known for scaling teams from early prototypes to large, cross‑functional organizations, he blends deep protocol and cloud infrastructure expertise with a people-first, fail-fast culture. An uncommon strength is his history of shipping both low-level protocol implementations and high‑level developer tooling, giving him rare end‑to‑end perspective on developer ecosystems. Based in Seattle, he is pragmatic, empathetic, and focused on building inclusive organizations that accelerate innovation.
