Top SchoolAngel Custodio is a lead frontend engineering manager based in Barcelona with 11 years of experience building and shipping large-scale web platforms, particularly in ecommerce and media. He combines deep hands-on expertise in React, Node and increasingly Deno with a proven track record of designing isomorphic web architectures and frontend microservices running on Kubernetes and AWS. At mytheresa he led the global launch of a new ecommerce platform, managing distributed teams and architecting services for sessions, translations, tracking and feature flags. A strong collaborator with product and design, he routinely prototypes UX-driven solutions and advocates modern engineering practices like GraphQL, CI/CD and microservices. Always exploring the bleeding edge of JavaScript runtimes and frontend tooling, he balances coding passion with people leadership and operational delivery. Outside of day-to-day work he’s actively engaged in the tech community, from organizing DevOps events to speaking at major conferences.
