Top SchoolAngus Hewlett is an independent technology consultant and veteran audio software engineer with over two decades of experience designing and shipping high-performance cross-platform C++ audio applications and plug-ins. He has founded and led teams at FXpansion, steered ROLI’s sound synthesis and R&D as VP, and served as CTO at Image-Line, blending product vision with low-level SIMD-optimized DSP and plug-in API expertise. Angus specializes in real-time audio signal processing, SSE/AVX/AVX-512 and ARM NEON vectorisation, and coordinating cross-disciplinary teams spanning hardware, firmware and design. Based in London, he pairs hands-on optimization skills with strategic leadership, and has a track record of shipping commercial synths and instruments used by musicians worldwide. An occasional lecturer, he brings both academic grounding (BSc Computer Science) and entrepreneurial grit to complex audio-tech challenges.
