Top SchoolAnjana Senanayake is a PhD candidate at RMIT University and an applied AI engineer with eight years of experience building cloud-native software and deep learning systems. Her research focuses on deep learning for medical imaging—developing tumor-tracking and radiotherapy guidance models—building on prior bioinformatics work in nanopore sequencing and selective genomics. She pairs academic rigor with production experience from roles at WSO2 and startups, shipping microservices, Azure deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and healthcare interoperability features like FHIR packages. Comfortable across full-stack development, ML research, and cloud infrastructure, she bridges the gap between prototype models and deployable, regulated clinical software. Based in Melbourne with roots in Sri Lanka, she brings a practical emphasis on reproducible pipelines and domain-aware engineering to life-science AI projects.
