Top SchoolAnnie Lydens is a Lead Software Engineer in Austin with 11 years of experience shipping products across health tech, ed tech, consumer SaaS, and VC-backed environments. She excels both as a team lead and individual contributor, owning projects end-to-end from conception to delivery and guiding cross-org collaboration on CI/CD, testing, hiring, and career ladders. Technically fluent across Ruby on Rails, Typescript/React, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, serverless and data tooling, she has led complex payments and microservices initiatives and mentored early-career engineers. Her background spans consulting at thoughtbot to product roles at Guild and Initialized, giving her a rare combination of client-facing facilitation and product-focused execution. Annie is a practiced public speaker (SXSW, RailsConf) who enjoys translating lessons from research and field work into engineering culture improvements. Outside work she hikes with two pups and experiments with Great British Bake Off–style challenges, reflecting a methodical curiosity that shows up in both code and life.
