Top SchoolAnshul Ahluwalia is a robotics and ML-focused software leader with nine years of experience building autonomy and perception systems, now co-founding and leading Surtr Defense Systems. He blends hands-on engineering from roles at Shield AI and internships at Meta and Dropbox with graduate research at Georgia Tech on compressing graph neural networks and multimodal 3D map generation. Comfortable shipping flight-tested ROS/C++ autonomy features and production ML pipelines, he has a track record of turning research ideas—like 30–100x GNN compression and Polygen-based 3D mesh generation—into practical systems. As an MSCS student at Georgia Tech, he pairs academic rigor with startup execution, bringing a rare mix of field-tested robotics expertise and scalable ML engineering to defense and autonomy products.
