Top SchoolAnthony Charlton is a co-founder and senior software engineer with two decades of deep domain expertise in energy and electricity distribution systems, specialising in Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, C# and C++. He built and led development of simSCADA protocol drivers and simulation tooling used globally, and later architected the Energy Workbench platform to help networks trace and analyse energy and capacity across distributed grids. His hands-on experience spans many SCADA protocols (DNP3, IEC-60870-101/104, ICCP and more) and production systems—including a load control system still in active use—demonstrating a rare blend of field-focused engineering and productisation. At Zepben he created numerous data adapters and client integrations that removed duplicate workflows for operators and produced proof-of-concepts for EV charging capacity and fault-distance prediction. Based in Canberra, Anthony combines mathematical training with practical systems thinking to turn complex operational data into reliable, production-grade software for utilities.
