Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolAnton Surov is a data scientist in Melbourne with a decade of hands-on experience at the intersection of search, SEO and analytics, currently applying those skills at Sportsbet. He progressed from technical SEO roles into data science, leading initiatives like log-file analytics, SSR for React sites, AI-driven content generation and Web Vitals advocacy to improve organic performance at scale. Anton combines practical web development knowledge with data storytelling—migrating SEO reporting to Power BI and managing SEO backlogs via martech—to turn large datasets into actionable product and marketing outcomes. He mentors others in technical SEO and brings a persistent, results-oriented mindset (as his GitHub motto suggests) to cross-functional teams. His background includes agency-side strategic work for major brands and an MS in Analytics from Georgia Tech, blending client-facing strategy with rigorous analytics. Not obvious at first glance: he has repeatedly bridged technical implementation and stakeholder-facing reporting, making him fluent in both engineering trade-offs and business impact.
