Senior🎓
Top SchoolAntónio Almeida is a Senior Tech Evangelist with 16 years of experience who blends deep engineering roots with a passion for teaching, public speaking, and travel-driven fieldwork in geospatial technology. Based in Portugal and currently at UP42, he translates complex topics like satellite imagery, image processing, and data science into practical developer-facing content while maintaining hands-on skills in Python, R, and emerging Julia workflows. A former tech manager, software architect, and founder of perusio.net, he pairs strategic product insight with pragmatic engineering and information security awareness. Known for infectious enthusiasm (and a rapid speaking style), he pursues audiophile-quality music and cinema at home and prefers remote, cold destinations for hiking and climbing—reflecting a curiosity-driven approach that fuels his continual technical reinvention.
