Top SchoolAntonis Karakottas is a PhD candidate and research associate specializing in computer and 3D vision, with eight years of experience applying C++ and machine learning to 3D facial reconstruction and related graphics problems. Based in Thessaloniki, he splits his time between Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Visual Computing Lab at CERTH/ITI, contributing to applied research projects bridging deep learning and 360° imaging. His background combines hands-on systems work—Windows Server and networking roles in institutional settings—with academic rigour from an M.Eng. in Electronics & Computer Engineering, giving him a practical edge in productionizing vision research. A former recording engineer, he brings an atypical blend of technical precision and creative sensibility to signal- and geometry-focused problems.
