Antti-jussi Lakanen is a research-driven senior lecturer in computer science with over a decade of experience teaching and studying how people learn programming, particularly at the introductory (CS1) and K–12 levels. He leads an AR technology project funded by Business Finland and has a track record of developing game-themed and student-centered approaches to engage teenagers and freshmen in programming using C#, Java and PHP. His research focuses on pedagogic methods and long-term effects of pre-university programming courses, and he regularly translates findings into classroom practice and extracurricular outreach.
