Summary
👤
SeniorArash Karami is a seasoned software leader with 14 years of experience building and scaling backend systems and payment platforms, currently leading Wira’s POS business line at Okala. He combines hands-on engineering—moving legacy systems to microservices, Kafka Streams and Orleans-based architectures—with commercial strategy and high-velocity operations to onboard and support retail and FMCG merchants at scale. Past roles span CTO, technical lead and consulting positions where he drove order throughput from 30k to 150k/day, optimized resource use with containerization, and improved revenue and monitoring for crypto operations. Comfortable bridging product, data and deployment teams, he excels at turning architectural strategy into repeatable, operational processes. Based in Tehran, he brings a rare mix of deep technical craft and go-to-market execution, plus a habit of shipping pragmatic open-source tools and platform conventions from earlier roles.
