Senior🎓
Top SchoolAriel Hou is a Staff Software Engineer in New York with 10 years of experience building full-stack web applications and internal platforms, currently shaping experimentation and analytics tooling at MongoDB Atlas. Formerly a sell-side trader at Credit Suisse, Ariel brings a data-driven, risk-aware mindset to engineering—comfortable translating complex business needs into reliable, testable systems. He has led cross-functional teams to deliver SDKs, global holdout features, and end-to-end analytics test frameworks, and has a track record of architecting internal A/B testing platforms and introducing Jest across large codebases. Previously at Capital One he focused on sustainable front-end patterns, platform initiatives, and developer productivity tools used bank-wide. Ariel still enjoys building websites and quirky personal projects (his GitHub handle traces back to a defunct middle-school Xanga name), reflecting long-standing curiosity and hands-on craftsmanship. He pairs finance-domain rigor with pragmatic engineering, often surfacing non-obvious telemetry and testing improvements that improve product trust.
