Senior🎓
Top SchoolArmagan Karatosun is an Online Data Services expert based in Frankfurt with nine years of hands-on experience building and operating cloud-native platforms for meteorological and Earth-observation initiatives. He has led cloud architecture and Kubernetes-based internal developer platforms for EO4EU and European Weather Cloud, combining OpenStack, multi-cloud networking (Calico, BGP/eBPF), and GitOps/IaC practices with Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD and GitLab CI/CD. His work spans containerizing critical forecasting software, designing observability stacks (Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana, ELK), and delivering turnkey security and DDoS/WAF solutions for public endpoints. Known internally as "the container guy," he pairs deep systems engineering with automation at scale—building migration tools, metering/accounting services, and backup solutions in Python to move workloads seamlessly across clouds. He brings academic rigor from advanced studies in computational science and a practical bias for reproducible infrastructure and developer self-service. Quietly, he thrives in dark CLIs—turning error-filled terminals into reliable production platforms.
