Norway
Summary
👤
SeniorArnvid Karstad is a seasoned DevOps and infrastructure engineer with roots in UNIX and Linux stretching back to the early 1990s, now serving as Staff DevOps Engineer and AWS Tech Lead at DNB. He brings deep hands-on experience designing and operating complex SAN, VMware, Cisco, and Checkpoint-based environments, and has led cloud and platform initiatives across enterprise banking and professional services. His background as a consultant and senior architect at Basefarm and Samlerhuset shows a track record of translating hardware and network expertise into resilient, production-grade services. Outside work he runs a Linux-based hosting lab, contributes to open source projects, and applies the same engineering discipline to a home audio studio and music production. Colleague-recognized for blending low-level system knowledge with cloud-native practices, he often surfaces practical security and operational improvements that others miss. Based in Norway, he combines decades-long legacy systems experience with current AWS and CI/CD leadership to modernize critical infrastructure.
