Top SchoolAron Sarmasi is a Senior Robotics Software Engineer in California with eight years of experience building ML-powered perception and medical imaging systems. He has strong Python and C++ skills and practical expertise with TensorFlow and PyTorch, applied to camera/radar sensor fusion, tracking, and early cancer detection in production-adjacent medical devices. Aron’s background blends published academic research—creating the Hanabi Open Agent Dataset and reimplementing MAML for meta-learning—with hands-on engineering at companies like Saildrone, Noah Medical, and Neptune Medical. He’s led cross-functional teams since university, from founding and growing a Hyperloop competition team to supervising undergraduate researchers, and brings a knack for turning research insights into robust, deployable systems. Notably, he pairs domain breadth (CV, NLP, game AI) with device-focused ML experience, making him effective at bridging lab results and real-world robotics and medical applications.
