Senior🎓
Top SchoolArseny Khakhalin is a Head of AI and Automation based in Berlin with 10 years of experience bridging academic research and industrial data science to build scalable, production-grade ML systems. He has led high-impact projects across mobility and logistics—designing high-throughput demand-planning pipelines and real-time car-placement models that delivered seven-figure annual savings and multi-million-dollar cost avoidance opportunities. Comfortable cycling between software engineer, Spark architect, and researcher roles, he combines deep expertise in optimization, reinforcement learning and digital twins with hands-on Spark/Databricks and Python engineering. Earlier academic work includes a PhD in neurophysiology and a postdoc that produced widely-used analysis tools and 20+ publications, reflecting a strong foundation in feature engineering and complex data visualization. He also prototypes independently (notably an AI bot for draftsim.com) and runs viral product experiments, showing a knack for translating novel ideas into user-facing systems.
