Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolArt Long is a seasoned Lotus Notes and .NET application developer with two decades of experience converting legacy Notes systems into modern SQL Server and Access-based solutions, primarily for the natural gas gathering industry. As an independent contractor based in Oklahoma, he has designed mission-critical applications that streamlined field operations, automated approvals, improved gas quality reporting, and dramatically reduced payroll processing time. Skilled across VB.Net, ASP.Net, LotusScript, Formula Language, SQL and XML, he combines deep Domino platform knowledge (v3.5–8.5.3) with practical migration and integration expertise. Known for pragmatic, low-level problem solving—aptly summarized on GitHub as "Adaptive, low-level, fast"—he has repeatedly been tapped to rescue stalled projects and deliver the features stakeholders requested. His journalism and business background gives him a knack for translating complex requirements into intuitive, auditable workflows.
