Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolArtem Piskun is an experienced backend engineer and team lead with over 11 years building and operating high-load, cloud-native systems across startups and large Russian tech organizations. He has progressed from hands-on development in Perl and Go to leading IAM and Kubernetes-as-a-service initiatives at VK Cloud, with deep experience in designing systems from scratch, refactoring legacy code, and owning Terraform providers and backup services. Artem combines strong operational instincts—observability, SRE tooling, and infra automation—with product-minded leadership as a former product owner. He’s comfortable across databases, messaging, and orchestration technologies (Postgres, Cassandra, Redis, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes) and has a track record of introducing better development practices and release workflows. Based in Moscow, he balances technical pragmatism with team communication skills and a penchant for Northern Soul and football off the clock.
