Top SchoolArtur Lobanov is a researcher and postdoctoral-trained particle physicist with 11 years of experience in R&D, integration and commissioning of detector systems, currently based at the University of Hamburg. He has driven hardware and firmware validation for CMS upgrades—evaluating ASICs, performing beam tests, and building test benches for silicon-pad calorimetry—while also developing novel algorithms for particle reconstruction and identification. His technical software contributions include back-end work on the widely used CMS Offline Software (cmssw), notably improving L1 trigger emulation and L1 menu integration to keep the HLT compatible with evolving trigger models. Comfortable at the intersection of experiment, electronics, and code, he combines hands-on detector commissioning with production-grade software development for large-scale high-energy physics experiments.

Contributions summary:Artur primarily contributed to the CMS Offline Software project by modifying code related to the L1Trigger, specifically focusing on the AXOL1TL emulator and its integration with the HLT. They made changes to the global trigger producer, parser, and condition files, enhancing the AXOL1TL condition parsing and model version handling. Furthermore, the user updated the L1 menu configurations within the project's testing and auto-configuration files, ensuring the system's compatibility with the latest L1 menu versions.
