Senior🎓
Top SchoolArtur Mkrtchyan is a seasoned technology leader and Co-Founder & CTO based in Berlin with over a decade of experience building data-driven, highly scalable products and cross-functional engineering teams. He combines hands-on expertise in JVM and modern backend languages (Java, Scala, Go, Node.js) with deep Big Data tooling (Spark, Kafka, Cassandra, Elasticsearch) and a strong practice of TDD and continuous delivery. His career spans startup and enterprise roles—leading delivery and product teams at Zalando, directing data and analytics at GameGenetics, and building payment and credit engines at PayPal—demonstrating an ability to transition monoliths to microservices and ship production-grade pipelines. Known for hiring, coaching, and setting technology vision, he also brings practical performance focus (JMH, profilers) and ops experience (Docker, AWS) often found in hands-on CTOs. An entrepreneur at heart, he now applies that combined operational and product sensibility to Softr, enabling no-code web apps on Airtable while still maintaining a developer-first engineering discipline.
