Top SchoolAryaman Srivastav is a mechanical engineer with 9 years of experience specializing in transport phenomena and propulsion systems, now pursuing advanced research as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His background blends hands-on propulsion work from student rocket teams (thrustMIT) and defense-focused internships at the Gas Turbine Research Establishment with academic research in high-fidelity fluid dynamics. Known for a pragmatic approach—captured by his GitHub motto "Efficiency is clever laziness"—he focuses on elegant, computation-driven solutions that reduce complexity and iteration time. He has led mechanical and propulsion teams, translating design concepts into tested hardware while mentoring peers through the development cycle. Based in India, Aryaman bridges industrial rigor and academic inquiry, bringing systems-level thinking to combustion, heat transfer, and flow optimization problems. Outside formal roles, he tends to automate repetitive tasks and streamline experiments, turning day-to-day efficiency gains into measurable research progress.
