Top SchoolAsaf Bartov is a program leader who transitioned from 16 years as a software architect and team leader to driving Wikimedia's expansion in the developing world as Senior Program Officer for Emerging Wikimedia Communities. He combines technical fluency with facilitation, public speaking, and organizational development to build partnerships with NGOs, governments, and grassroots editors that increase readership and editor participation. A founder and long-time Wikipedian, he bridges “geekspeak” and human language to make complex technical and cultural projects practical and inclusive. His background spans library linked-data work, consultancy on large multi-platform systems, and an uncommon pairing of classical studies and hacker ethos that informs his advocacy for open knowledge.
