Top SchoolAsh Roughani is a civic-tech-minded full-stack generalist who has spent over a decade helping city governments and nonprofits turn ambiguous problems into testable, scalable solutions. Currently Special Projects Manager in the Office of the City Manager in Sacramento, he leads citywide performance measures, grants management systems, and human-centered data interfaces while serving as lead staff to the Measure U Community Advisory Committee. He specializes in rapid pilots and co-designed interventions that surface data-driven evidence to inform policy and operational decisions. His background bridges product, policy, and startup experience—from founding a performance-management SaaS to bootstrapping civic engagement platforms—so he fluently translates between engineers, policymakers, and community stakeholders. Colleagues describe him as a “bureaucracy hacker” who pushes institutions to move fast, learn from failure, and embed continuous improvement into public services.
