Top SchoolAshutosh Singh is a software engineer with nine years of experience, currently building UI tooling and core infrastructure for Yelp’s data pipelines in New York. With a master's in computer science from Boston University, he bridges front-end React work and backend streaming systems, notably designing a stream allocation and discovery layer that enabled tiered Kafka clusters and simplified cluster migrations. He also improved the reliability and latency of Yelp’s highest-traffic data ingestion service, demonstrating an ability to optimize production systems under heavy load. Known for mentoring new hires, he focuses on delivering user-friendly, scalable tools that make data-driven workflows accessible to engineers and stakeholders. An engineer who blends product-minded UI work with deep distributed-systems experience, he favors practical abstractions that decouple producers and consumers from infrastructure details.
