Lead Software Engineer at Industrial Light & Magic
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Summary
👤
SeniorAsi Sudai is a Lead Software Engineer based in Vancouver with two decades of experience at the intersection of technology and creative VFX production, currently leading engineering at Industrial Light & Magic. He specializes in CG pipeline and production tools, having built asset-management systems, studio-wide render and docker infrastructure, and low-level APIs that bridged production, IT and third-party tools. Asi has a proven track record growing and managing pipeline, rigging and production-technology teams from the ground up at studios including Stellar Creative Lab, DHX Media and Digital Domain. Comfortable both coding and coordinating with clients and vendors, he translates complex creative workflows into reliable, scalable systems that keep projects on schedule. A hands-on engineer who still ships tools and webapps (flask/webapps, farm integration, Shotgun workflows), he blends deep technical craft with production-first pragmatism.
