Attila Györffy
Budapest, Central Hungary
Summary
👤
SeniorAttila Györffy is a systems-minded senior backend engineer with 17 years of professional experience and over 20 years in software, currently freelancing at Qonto from Budapest. He is a long-time Ruby developer (since 2006) who pairs pragmatic product thinking with deep system design, shipping reliable, maintainable services in high-growth fintech and DevOps contexts. Attila has led core-product ownership, framework upgrades, and test-suite overhauls, and has a knack for making complex systems idempotent and self-correcting—skills he applied to cryptocurrency coverage and resilient background processing. He teaches and mentors regularly, co-ran a Ruby Task Force at Bitrise, and has trained teams and government organisations on idiomatic Ruby and Rails. Comfortable across languages including Rust, Go and TypeScript, he blends hands-on coding with an engineer-as-teacher mindset and a scout’s curiosity for continuous learning.
