Senior🎓
Top SchoolAugust Bonds is a senior software engineer based in Stockholm with 11 years of experience building backend systems across C#/.NET, Java and modern functional Scala (Typelevel). He combines hands-on performance tuning—having improved critical APIs by up to 50% at Amadeus—with distributed-systems research experience, co-authoring a paper and redesigning HDFS block reporting for the Hops fork. August has led architecture simplifications and migrations (MongoDB→Postgres) for insurance systems, currently building a review-collection platform in a purely functional Scala stack. Comfortable with customer-facing roles and teaching, he brings product and people focus from years in the service industry and as a lecturer in test-driven design. An early mobile and full-stack developer, he pairs low-level systems insight with pragmatic product delivery.
