Senior🎓
Top SchoolAugust K is a Senior Staff Software Engineer with 14 years of full-stack web experience, currently modernizing TaskRabbit's web frontend with a focus on TypeScript, React, Next.js and resilient backend services. He is a true polyglot—comfortable in JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, PHP and familiar with Rust, Python, Kotlin and Swift—and combines deep hands-on engineering with early leadership experience across startups, agencies, and product teams. Known for pragmatic, high-impact work (including a 90%+ performance boost at Patreon and major tooling and deploy improvements at multiple companies), he excels at translating between creative and engineering stakeholders to keep projects moving. Equally at home building end-to-end features, optimizing critical performance paths, or running server and cloud deployments, he’s recently been sharpening modern DevOps and serverless skills to complement his frontend expertise. Colleagues rely on him as a versatile “wearer of many hats” who prefers coding but can step into management to scale teams and processes when needed.
