Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolAugusto Andreoli is a seasoned Python backend developer with 11+ years building reliable, scalable web services and APIs across startups and enterprise teams. Based in Berlin, he currently architects backend systems at Wolt and has a strong track record modernizing platforms at EatFirst and sennder using Python 3, Django/Flask, PostgreSQL, Celery, Docker and AWS. He pairs deep database and performance tuning experience (Postgres/PostGIS, ETL, slow-query optimization) with pragmatic DevOps practices—CI/CD, containerization and infrastructure automation—to reduce costs and increase reliability. Notably, he engineered delivery-routing and scheduling algorithms that replaced manual planning and improved operational efficiency, and migrated legacy tooling to containerized, fail-safe services. Self-taught, curious and detail-oriented, he also codes in Go and experiments with Rust, bringing a broad historical perspective from earlier work in PHP, C# and C++. He’s proactive about process improvements and thrives on taking ownership of end-to-end systems from design to production.
