Summary
👤
SeniorAugusto Morais is a Senior Software Engineer based in Berlin with 15+ years of professional experience and over a decade of hands-on engineering focused on Python, distributed systems, and optimization. He currently builds scalable data and tooling platforms at Anaconda, bringing deep expertise in Conda, Jupyter, FastAPI, and cloud-native CI/CD. His background blends research-grade algorithm design—metaheuristics for NP-hard problems and stochastic financial modeling—with production microservices and ETL pipelines, enabling solutions that scale from combinatorial solvers to hundreds-of-millions-row data stores. He has led teams and shaped engineering processes across startups and enterprises, mentoring peers and introducing robust development standards. Notably, his career spans both academic research on combinatorial biology problems and real-world logistics and finance optimization, giving him a rare mix of theoretical depth and production pragmatism.
