Top SchoolAurélien Lequoy is an expert MariaDB/MySQL DBA and PHP engineer with 13+ years of hands-on experience delivering high-availability, large-scale database platforms and migrations for clients worldwide. Founder and CEO of Istosia and creator of PmaControl and the Glial PHP framework, he combines deep operational expertise (Galera, ProxySQL, MaxScale, Percona) with tooling and product development to automate monitoring, backups and real‑time replay of events. He has repeatedly rescued and modernized production clusters—recovering corrupted Galera nodes, performing hot migrations across major versions, and scaling systems to hundreds of servers without downtime. Regularly engaged in audits, performance tuning, HA design and team training, he averages weekly consultancy missions for enterprises and public institutions with a 95% reported satisfaction. Notably, recent PmaControl V4 adds local LLM-powered autotuning for slow queries and full ProxySQL support, reflecting his focus on blending practical DBA work with innovative automation. Based in Paris, he is comfortable working remotely or on-site globally and turns complex failure modes into resilient, maintainable architectures.
