Top SchoolAustin Baldwin is an aerospace and software engineer with 11 years of experience who now leads Vialumi Aerospace as Co-Founder and CEO, building hybrid-electric training aircraft to cut operating costs and emissions. He combines hands-on aerospace credentials from Boeing—where he led 787-9 low-speed flight test efforts and conducted wind-tunnel and certification work—with full-stack product and backend engineering roles at Rover and Optiwatt. At Optiwatt he designed multivariable optimization for EV charging and owned integrations across telemetry and pricing feeds, demonstrating an ability to bridge control systems, data pipelines, and user-facing applications. Earlier ventures, including Clear Aerospace, highlight his strengths in power modeling, mission simulation, and statistical fleet analysis for general aviation. Based in Seattle and grounded in a Georgia Tech aerospace education, he moves fluidly between regulatory flight-test rigor and rapid startup iteration. Notably, he blends deep domain expertise in aerodynamics and propulsion with practical software engineering experience to accelerate electrification in aviation.
