Senior🎓
Top SchoolAustin Burgard is a Senior Software Engineer in St. Louis with 7+ years building production full-stack systems, specializing in modern React and TypeScript frontends and developer experience improvements. He has driven migrations (Redux→React Query, Webpack/Esbuild→Vite) that measurably boosted performance and team velocity, and built type-safe SDKs and GraphQL UIs for customer-facing platforms. Austin pairs hands-on engineering with mentoring and process leadership—leading a 15-person team, improving UI test coverage from 25% to 65%, and optimizing large test suites and API performance. Comfortable across the stack, he blends pragmatic refactoring of legacy codebases with modern tooling to deliver reliable, maintainable products. A former Kinesiology major turned full-stack engineer via a coding bootcamp, he brings an uncommon mix of discipline and people-focused collaboration to technical delivery.
