Top SchoolAustin Mcconnell is a Senior Software Engineer II with 11 years of experience building high-performance web apps, REST APIs, and ETL pipelines, currently at Unite Us in Cedar Park, Texas. He emphasizes clean, maintainable code and language-specific best practices, and has a strong track record of automating CI/CD and practicing infrastructure-as-code with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform. Previously he cut onboarding time dramatically with a parallelized document ingestion system and reduced operational costs through container and infrastructure optimizations. His background in aerospace and large-scale simulation automation at Lockheed Martin gives him a rare combination of rigorous engineering, data-processing scale, and operational discipline. He also champions developer productivity through tooling—pre-commit checks, standardized web API patterns, and removal of technical debt to improve team velocity and maintainability.
