Top SchoolÁvaro González is a Senior Embedded Software Engineer based in Madrid with 15 years building GNU/Linux and C-based systems for consumer and industrial products. He has led embedded development across set-top box, media and CCTV domains at Telefónica Innovación Digital, Nokia, Playgiga and Visual Tools, often owning UI work in Qt/C++ and media pipelines with GStreamer/FFmpeg. Comfortable across the full embedded stack, he pairs low-level Linux expertise with test automation using Python, Selenium and Jenkins to deliver robust, production-grade firmware and services. A former founder and early contributor to Linux distributions, he brings entrepreneurial pragmatism and experience managing projects for public-sector and commercial clients. Known for bridging hands-on coding with system-level design, he still favors pragmatic, well-tested C on Linux rather than flashy frameworks.
