Top SchoolAvindu Hewa is a Senior Software Engineer with 11 years’ experience building scalable web and cloud-native products from startup MVPs to mature platforms, currently expanding product value at Busable in Sydney. A JavaScript enthusiast and cloud fanatic, he blends full‑stack engineering, DevOps automation (Terraform, Azure migrations) and ML prototyping to turn research and stakeholder input into product features. He’s shipped payment and marketplace systems, led front-end teams and refactored legacy apps across mobile, PWA and kiosk platforms, balancing rapid iteration with security and stability. As a former founding engineer and startup CEO, he pairs hands‑on coding with product empathy and cross-disciplinary collaboration (including economists for Crossborders). Comfortable as a digital nomad, he brings an unusual mix of entrepreneurial grit and infrastructure discipline that accelerates delivery without sacrificing long‑term maintainability.
