Senior🎓
Top SchoolAxel Durbec is a Technical Project Manager with nine years of experience leading software architecture and autonomy efforts for maritime robotics and automotive systems, currently coordinating cross-domain teams and presales for Exail's DriX unmanned surface vessel. He combines hands-on expertise in C/C++, ROS, embedded Linux, perception, mission management and unreliable-link video streaming with team leadership—managing and growing a team of robotics engineers to expand autonomous capabilities at sea. His background spans sensor fusion and real-time embedded systems from Valeo and Thales to deep-water and coastal autonomous platforms, giving him a rare mix of field-proven systems engineering and product-facing technical sales. Trained in signal processing and machine learning (M.Sc. and Udacity nanodegree), Axel is as comfortable defining architecture and CI workflows as he is tuning perception stacks for operational robustness in harsh marine environments.
