Summary
🤩
RockstarAyoub Fakir is a Senior Data Engineer and Data Ops specialist based in Paris with a decade of experience building scalable, production-grade data platforms using Scala, Spark, AWS and Kubernetes. He has led GDPR-compliance and large-scale ETL efforts for banks and consumer tech companies, optimizing pipelines that scan hundreds of terabytes weekly and exposing data for analytics and ML. Beyond hands-on engineering, he has run big data practices and launched a blockchain offering at Devoteam, and today combines practitioner work with teaching advanced data engineering and Bitcoin to final-year engineering students. A functional-programming advocate and Scala/Go developer, Ayoub treats observability and operational rigor as first-class citizens, often pairing CloudWatch/Kibana monitoring with CI/CD and workflow automation. He also brings an unusual mix of curiosity and resilience—he frames failure as learning and even pursues student pilot training—demonstrating discipline and a taste for high-stakes systems.
