Babs
Software Engineer
Summary
👤
SeniorBabu Wanyeki is a software engineer with eight years of experience and an MEng in EECS from MIT, currently building systems at Meta in the New York City area. He blends embedded systems and software expertise—ranging from Arduino-based avionics and evaporative cooling control to ML-driven depth sensing—bringing hardware-aware software craftsmanship to large-scale products. His background includes multiple internships and teaching assistant roles at MIT and Facebook, showing both hands-on engineering and mentorship chops. Babu’s projects emphasize practical impact in resource-constrained settings, such as low-cost cooling for post-harvest storage and personalized embedded devices. Comfortable across firmware, data-driven algorithms, and production software, he bridges sensors-to-cloud workflows. Colleagues can expect an engineer who pairs rigorous academic training with curiosity for global, applied solutions.
