Lead System Engineer at EPAM Systems
Budapest, Hungary
Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolBalazs Pocze is a pragmatic lead system engineer with 12+ years of hands-on experience designing, automating, and operating reliable hybrid and cloud-native infrastructures across AWS, GCP and on-prem environments. He combines deep systems craftsmanship—Terraform/Ansible/Puppet, Kubernetes, Python/Bash—with an architect’s eye for scalable, observable platforms and CI/CD pipelines. Throughout his career he’s repeatedly stepped into informal leadership roles, mentoring teams, shaping architecture decisions, and rebuilding DevOps practices under pressure. Notably, he contributed upstream Ansible modules for MySQL replication early in his career, reflecting a long-term commitment to open tooling and automation. Based in Budapest, he’s now formalizing that blend of technical depth and people development toward engineering management or infrastructure architect roles. Expect a reliability-first, automation-driven mindset focused on measurable outcomes and pragmatic trade-offs.
