Senior🎓
Top SchoolBalázs Varga is a seasoned mobile engineering leader and founder with 11 years of experience delivering high‑quality mobile banking and payments solutions from prototype to enterprise production. As CTO and founder at Apter and now Development Lead at Finshape, he combines hands‑on delivery (Kotlin Multiplatform, native Android, POS and transit card apps) with people leadership—managing teams of up to nine backend developers and driving hiring, onboarding and organizational improvements. He has a strong track record of accelerating delivery (shipping apps in months instead of years), improving team performance through knowledge transfer and governance, and sustaining profitability through data‑driven product and budget decisions. Balázs also led ISO 27001 compliance efforts and evaluated AI tooling through POCs to boost engineering productivity, reflecting a pragmatic mix of security, process and innovation focus. Based in Budapest, he pairs technical depth with MBA‑level business acumen and an unusual knack for shrinking time‑to‑market without sacrificing test coverage or automation.
